Sports club information

Seasonal allocations

We have a seasonal allocation process to make sure all sports clubs have a chance to access our sporting grounds and pavilions.

Seasonal dates

Winter: From the first Saturday in April to the second Sunday in September
Summer: From the first Saturday in October to the second Sunday in March

Applications for the 2017 winter season are now open.

For more information on the seasonal allocation process, call the Sport and Recreation team on 9243 8888.

Club development workshops

The Sport and Recreation team run four Club Development Workshops per year and encourage all Moonee Valley clubs to attend and develop the skills and knowledge of their club volunteers.

Clubs attending two or more workshops in a financial year are entitled to a five per cent discount on their seasonal allocation fees.

Workshop 4: Child Safe Standards

Did you know that from January 1 2017, new legislation applies to all organisations (including sport clubs) in Victoria working with children?

On Monday, 27 February 2017 we held a workshop about the new legislation.

Club user guide

The role of running of a sporting club or organisation is becoming more complex and demanding, especially for volunteer club administrators.

The club user guide is an easy-to-use reference put together to help sporting club organisers and busy volunteers tackle the ins and outs of running a club.

The club user guide contains information on:

  • how to get funding
  • how to be an effective club
  • our sports policies

We hope you find the information useful and we would like your feedback on how we can improve the club user guides.

Updating your club guide

The club user guide was last updated in 2012. Contact the Sport and Recreation team for an updated copy.
