Restaurant and entertainment precinct
Mt Alexander Road Moonee Ponds is a vibrant precinct with fantastic restaurants, bars and entertainment venues.
We have developed an action plan that takes a holistic approach to business development and community safety in the precinct and continually work with business and stakeholders to implement actions.
If you would like a copy of the action plan please contact us on 9243 8888.
Action Plan Update
Junction Lane is officially open!
The completion of Junction Lane increases parking opportunities for patrons when visiting restaurants, bars and entertainment businesses by linking Mt Alexander Road with Gladstone Street. This increased car parking available to Mt Alexander Road visitors will ease the pressure on residential parking in the area.
Activating the space during the day and night will also enhance safety in the area particularly because of improved lighting and increased usage.
The link will allow access to vehicles during the evening between the hours of 7pm and 7am. Vehicles will have access to travel one way through the lane from Mt Alexander Road. Pedestrians and cyclists can use the link at all times.
Removable bollards will be installed at both ends of the link to ensure cars can only access the lane during the prescribed times.
We have produced a map of Junction Lane and the surrounding area, if you would like a copy of the map please contact us on 9243 8888.
