The Council Plan sets out our strategic direction and priorities over a four year period.

Have your say on the draft Council Plan 2017-21

The draft Council Plan 2017-21, integrating the Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan, is now available for public comment.

We invite your feedback on our draft plan, which describes how we will work over the next four years to achieve the community’s vision for Moonee Valley: A city of clean, green and beautiful, vibrant, diverse and sustainable communities that people experience as friendly and safe to live in.

For the first time, we have combined our Public Health and Wellbeing Plan with the draft Council Plan into a single document. Our aim is to improve the quality of life for all people who live, work, learn and play in Moonee Valley by ensuring health and wellbeing matters are prioritised across all areas of Council.

Council Plan 2013-17

The Council Plan is a medium term strategic plan that sets out our strategic direction and priorities for the four-year Council term. The plan guides Council through its four year term and is shaped by the community vision, Moonee Valley Next Generation (MV2035).

The Council Plan consists of strategic objectives or goals that are framed around five themes. The delivery of each objective is supported by key strategies and are measured by a number of indicators.

The  Council Plan 2013-17 (pdf, 3.7MB)(accessible docx, 220KB) was adopted by Council on 25 June 2013.

How we resource this plan

A central part of developing the Council Plan is taking into account the financial environment in which Council works. The Council Plan includes a Strategic Resource Plan, a four-year plan of resources we will need to implement the Council Plan.

How we report on our progress

We report on our progress on implementing the Council Plan through our Annual Report.
