The Diversity Access and Inclusion Strategy (pdf, 2.31MB) promotes a diverse and unified community through its key policies, projects and initiatives.
We have made every effort to ensure that this strategy meets all the requirements of the Disability Act 2006 and will coordinate our diversity planning with the support of the Moonee Valley Diversity Access and Social Inclusion Reference Group.
The following policy areas will be our framework for change for the next four years.

Key projects and initiatives for 2009-2010
- Establish a human rights working group to inform Council’s work in this area
- Establish Disability Reference Group
- Review our interpreting and translating usage
- Develop cultural diversity training for our employees
- Review our current Reconciliation Policy and Action Plan
- Establish a Moonee Valley intercultural advisory committee
The strategy will ensure that we embrace the principles of the Human Rights Charter.
