The Mt Alexander Road Precinct is a vibrant and lively activity centre with a diverse mix of businesses including restaurants, bars and retail outlets.
Although these attributes make this precinct a popular place to live and visit, they can result in negative impacts on the local amenity such as noise, litter and anti-social behaviour associated with late-night drinking.
We have developed the Mt Alexander Road Precinct Community Safety Plan (pdf, 2MB) to address some of these impacts. It takes a holistic approach which includes the involvement of Police, State Government, venues and residents.
The plan includes actions relating to:

- working with licensed venues and the police
- transport and public amenity
- communications and advocacy
