Tell us about yourself

I am an energetic person who loves to laugh – this may have something to do with my Irish roots. I was born and raised in Dublin and came to beautiful Australia with my husband Brian and three children Bryan, Pamela and Laura over 20 years ago. Today I am a proud citizen of both countries and spend my days working for the Australian Services Union, delivering courses in Occupational Health & Safety and Industrial Relations across Victoria and Tasmania. The role is a perfect fit as it gives me the opportunity to talk one on one with workers, a practice which I’m sure will transfer across to my role as Councillor.

What five words best describe you?

Loyal, caring, pro-active, dedicated, sense of humour.

What do you hope to achieve in your term as Councillor?

I’m really looking forward to meeting residents, listening to their opinions and concerns and taking them into consideration when decisions are being made. I believe this approach will best represent the interests of the municipality and Moonee Valley residents.

What do you think are Moonee Valley’s greatest strengths?

Having been a resident of Moonee Valley for over 20 years, I would have to say its location, sense of community, amenities and open spaces.
