Parts of Me

2 March 2012 – 25 March 2012

Black Caviar by Amanda Fraser Time X London Leaves by Amanda Fraser

By Amanda Fraser

Parts of Me explores Amanda Fraser’s experience overseas from her time in London, New York and Melbourne from 2001 to now.

Fraser showed her desire to travel at an early age growing up in the quiet suburb of Strathmore. She moved to Queensland when she was 21 after completing her studies at the Victorian College of the Arts. Fraser yearned to develop her artistic practice further but felt constrained by her employment.  In response, Fraser committed herself to the philosophy of travel, endeavouring to experience as much of the world as possible.

Parts of Me demonstrates Fraser’s still life and life drawing works as well as depicting her responses to the places in which she lived.
