Main parks

Afton Street Reserve is a historical open space on the Maribyrnong River. The site and surrounding Maribyrnong Valley Parklands are home to several species of birds and it features the occasional visits by swamp wallabies, dolphins and seals.

Boeing Reserve is one of the largest reserves in Moonee Valley, stretching along Moonee Ponds Creek and linking to other parks and reserves by the Moonee Ponds Bike Path.

The Canning Street Tea Gardens is a popular picnic spot in Moonee Valley. A walkway extends along the Maribyrnong River for walkers and cyclists to enjoy.

Fairbairn Park, located next to the Maribyrnong River, has a series of open spaces for walking, jogging and cycling. Dogs are able to exercise off leash here. You can also access the river front for fishing and canoeing activities.

Hansen and Etzel Reserves have two sports fields that can be used for active or informal recreation use.

The JH Allan Reserve is a large tree lined reserve with a series of recreational spaces for walking, jogging, ball games and other activities.

Maribyrnong Park is a large reserve that borders the Maribyrnong River. The park features two sports fields and it also has an excellent path network for walking and cycling to surrounding areas.

Queens Park is a small retreat from nearby busy streets. It's a popular park with a rose garden and a sunken garden.

Spring Gully Reserve is a large reserve surrounding a section of Steele Creek with a developed open space for recreation. Dogs are able to exercise off leash here.

Victory Park has one of the City’s best playgrounds, offering a range of play activities for children of all ages.

Woodlands Park is a popular picnic spot with barbecue facilities. It also has plenty of open space perfect for kicking a footy or other sporting activities, as well as playground for children.
