Scooter safety in Moonee Valley

Man using a mobility scooter

Did you know that mobility scooters and electric wheelchairs are designed to be used on footpaths, not the road? Or that scooter and wheelchair users are covered by the same road rules that apply to pedestrians?

A guide to safely using your motorised mobility device

We have developed this brochure to help you to travel comfortably, understand the road rules and get home safe.

A guide to safely using your motorised mobility device

The brochure contains important information, including:

  • a checklist of items to consider before you leave home
  • instructions on how to transport your device in a taxi
  • details of the Recharge Scheme in Moonee Valley
  • services offered by us to make your trip safer and more comfortable
