For Residents

Home library service

Man with books

The home library service is free for Moonee Valley residents who are unable to access the library for reasons including frailty, disability, illness or are full time carers of the above. This service is also available to residents of aged care facilities and supported accommodation.

We will bring monthly deliveries of materials including large print books, talking books and DVDs. Bulk loans can also be arranged.

We can visit residents wanting to receive this service to discuss their eligibility, reading interest and the types of library materials they would need.

You will be asked to provide a police check before joining the program.

The Moonee Valley Leader on cassette

Do you have trouble reading small print in newspapers? The talking newspaper might be the answer.

The Moonee Valley Leader is currently being recorded onto cassette and sent out free to all who are interested.

If you would like to receive these cassettes or if you know someone who would benefit from this service, call the Niddrie Library on 8325 1925
