Mt Alexander Road Corridor Urban Design Guidelines

On 20 September 2011, we resolved to adopt the Mt Alexander Road Corridor Urban Design Guidelines in an amended form.

The adopted Mt Alexander Road Corridor Urban Design Guidelines are now available to download:

Part 1 (4.9MB)

Part 2 (2.7MB)

Why have Urban Design Guidelines?
Urban Design Guidelines are designed to provide guidance about the type of development which can occur on land.  For Mt Alexander Road this is to ensure that development enhances the character of the boulevard.

Next steps

At the start of October 2011, we requested authorisation from the Minister for Planning to commence  a Planning Scheme Amendment to update the existing Design and Development Overlay in place along the corridor. This amendment seeks to implement the Mt Alexander Road Corridor Urban Design Guidelines.

For further details on the status of this amendment please contact our Strategic Planning Department on 9243 8888.
