We know Moonee Valley residents are passionate about their pets and many have dogs who are part of the family.
It’s why we jumped into action as soon as we heard reports that some pets had fallen ill after visiting the off-leash dog park at Alf Pearce Reserve in Strathmore.
Animal Control Officers have visited the park over the past couple of days to check for anything unusual and found no evidence of baiting.
Our Parks team ensured there hasn’t been any spraying happening around the park either.
Thankfully during our visits, we didn’t find any animals in distress or ill.
However, we take these matters seriously and will continue to proactively monitor the park for any evidence of tampering.
We ask any owners who suspect their dog became ill after visiting the park or anyone with further information to please get in touch on 03 9243 8888 or email@example.com.
