The month before the council election, known as the election period starts at 12 noon on Tuesday, 22 September and finishes at 6pm on election day Saturday, 24 October.
During the election period Council staff must follow the Election Period Policy when it comes to communications online. This means that some material on our website and social media channels has been changed or removed in line with the policy. You can access the policy and read more about the elections here.

The election is being administered by the Victorian Electoral Commission.
If you have questions about your ballot or you are a candidate, in the first instance you should contact the Moonee Valley VEC office on (03) 8619 1450.
Council will not be able to assist you with queries relating to lost or damaged ballots.
