Exciting times Debneys Park

Find out more about what’s happening at Debneys Park and surrounds.

You may have noticed the exciting work happening in and around Debneys Park, Flemington.

The Flemington Pop-Up has been installed, and will open soon! The Pop-Up is located behind the site of the old Flemington Community Centre and will be a place for key services until the new Hub is built.

Stage Two of the Flemington Hub and Debneys Park project has officially started. Temporary fences will be set up ahead of work to create outdoor basketball and netball courts, cricket nets and sports fields.

This will mean that a large section of the park and the Flemington Community Centre car park will be closed.

Later this year, the old sporting pavilion will be removed and works on the new Flemington Community Hub will commence. We will keep you updated as we progress with this stage of the project.

Flemington Mural Pillars Art Project

Artists are busy transforming the Flemington pillars in to murals as part of a Working for Victoria project.

The public art project – led by mural artist Tom Civil, with the support of a small team of artists – is funded through the State Government’s Working for Victoria program and will celebrate the environmental and cultural benefits of healthy waterways.
