We know our Moonee Valley community rallies together in these tough times, and we’ve had lots of questions about how to help. These are some of the organisations which are working to help the residents in lockdown:
- The Asylum Seeker Resource Centre’s catering arm is working in partnership with the State Government of Victoria, the Victorian Trades Hall Council and other community organisations to ensure families in lockdown get the appropriate food and care they need to feel safe, seen and cared for. You can donate to them here.
- Foodbank Victoria is delivering hampers to families in lockdown.
- The Australian Muslim Social Services Agency is taking donations of uncooked food, nappies, sanitary pads and PPE equipment.
We will continue to update this list as we hear of other support services. If there is any missing that you know of get in touch with us at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Disclaimer: These organisations are not affiliated with Council. Please do your own research before donating.
