Moonee Valley Libraries are excited to introduce Contactless Collection!
Contactless Collection means that library patrons can reserve items on the libraries online catalogue, call up to book a time slot and head into one of the five branches to pick them up in a COVID safe way.
Return chutes are now open 24/7 at all branches, so patrons can also drop off old loans and pick up new reserves in one trip.
Our library staff are committed to your health and safety, and that includes individually bundled and labelled packages, checking out items in advance so you don’t need to use touch screens, limiting patron capacity to ensure physical distancing – they are even and quarantining all returned items.
After introducing Contactless Collection this week, the team have been taking hundreds of excited calls from patrons who are jumping at the chance to get stuck into a new spring read. Our libraries have already posted out a massive 3600 packages to residents since lockdown started, and the introduction of Contactless Collection means there are even more ways you can be reunited with your reserves quickly and safely.
Remember, if you are unable to visit a branch to pick up your reserves, Libraries are still offering delivery services to Moonee Valley residents.
You can find out more about these services, and reserve items for your Contactless Collection on the library catalogue.
