Active You is a year-round program that provides free access to a range of activities, programs and opportunities to get active and be healthy. Since Active You launched in 2019, our community has enjoyed running and walking groups, free indoor and outdoor fitness classes, informative seminars, school holiday activities and activities for older residents.

Active You - Participant information

Being a part of our Active You program is easy. Sign up here, receive newsletters and check the website for information about upcoming activities. 

We take your safety seriously and we have put in place the following measures to ensure you can enjoy our programming whilst staying Covid Safe:

  • Capacity of each activity will be in line with State Government regulations
  • All instructors and providers have Covid Safe plans
  • All participants will be required to supply their details for contact tracing purposes when attending activities

Most of our activities require you to wear comfortable light clothing that you can exercise in. Please ensure you are wearing appropriate footwear and bring your own water and towel. You will only be required to bring any additional equipment if the event details specify.

Active You aims to work with a variety of access requirements. If you have specific access requirements, please email active@mvcc.vic.gov.au so that we can assist you.

In the event of extreme weather (rain, heat, air quality) we may decide to cancel or postpone an activity. Please keep an eye out on our social media channels for announcements regarding cancellations or rescheduling of activities. Alternatively, please contact Activation, Sport and Recreation on 9243 8888.

Before attending any session, we ask that you ensure you are in sufficiently good health and fitness to undertake the activities.

By attending an Active You activity, you state that you are in proper physical condition to take part in such activities, and you take full responsibility for the actions of yourself and any registered family members. You and your family shall abide by any conditions of the program.

By participating in the program, you waive all claims for yourself, family members and heirs against Active You, Sponsors, Promoters, Moonee Valley City Council or any other party for injury or illness which may result from your individual/family's participation.

Booking details are listed for each activity.  Some will require Eventbrite booking, others require you to contact the provider directly via the link provided, and some require you just to turn up and register on the day.
