Notice of Intention to Sell Land

Moonee Valley City Council (Council) gives notice under section 189 of the Local Government Act 1989 (the Act) of its intention to sell the land from a formerly discontinued road abutting the property known as 112 St Leonards Road, Ascot Vale, shown hatched on the plan below, being part of the land contained in certificate of title volume 01549 folio 766 (Land), which is Land vested in Council’s ownership pursuant a notice published in the Victoria Government Gazette no.80 dated 23 August 1978.

Any person wishing to make a submission under Section 223 of the Act, must do so in writing by 8 April 2020.

Submissions should be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, Moonee Valley City Council and can be hand delivered at the Civic Centre, 9 Kellaway Avenue, Moonee Ponds or posted to PO Box 126, Moonee Ponds, VIC 3039.

Any persons requesting to be heard in support of their submission is entitled to be heard before a committee of Council or be represented by a person acting on their behalf, and will be notified of the time and date of the hearing.

Council intends to publish submissions received on the proposed sale of Land on Council’s website https://www.mvcc.vic.gov.au/about-the-council/meetings-and-governance/transparency.aspx – Prior to submitting your submission, please indicate whether you would like your submission to be made public in full, public with personal information removed, or not made public. We will not disclose your personal information without your consent, except where required to do so by law.

Following consideration of submissions, Council may resolve to not sell the Land, sell the Land or retain the Land for itself.
