Flemington Community Centre is a much-loved facility which has served our community for over 60 years.

But unfortunately, all good things must come to an end.

The condition of the building has deteriorated faster than we anticipated and it’s just not safe to use anymore.

The centre, which has been closed for community use due to COVID-19 restrictions, will remain closed and in the new year we will begin the process of pulling it down.

It will be replaced by the new Flemington Hub, which we will start work on next year and it will be completed by 2023.

In the meantime, we’re working closely with our community, staff and user groups on alternative working arrangements until the new hub is ready.

To celebrate Flemington Community Centre, we’re keen to showcase your memories of the facility.

Did you ever take a class there? Maybe you went to an event there? Or perhaps it was just somewhere where you hung out with friends after school?

These are the kind of memories we’d love to capture and share on our social media channels. Your picture may even be lucky enough to feature somewhere in the new Flemington Hub!

To get involved, simply tag your pictures with #FCCandme on Facebook or Instagram.

We’ll continue to keep you up to date with the progress of the works happening at Flemington Community Centre on the Flemington Hub project page.
