Chief Executive Officer, Bryan Lancaster, has advised Council he will not seek a renewal of his contract for a further term as CEO at Moonee Valley City Council.
On behalf of Council, I sincerely thank Bryan for his dedicated service to Moonee Valley over almost 12 years, the past four as our CEO.
He has led the Council through some significant challenges and change and guided the planning work that has articulated our community’s vision for the future and how it will be achieved.
Bryan is one of the most respected public servants in the local government sector and both the organisation and the community have benefitted from having him at the helm
We look forward to expressing our appreciation to Bryan in an appropriate way later in the year.
Mr Lancaster joined Moonee Valley 12 years ago as the Director City Works and Assets and his career has spanned more than 40 years, including various roles at 11 Victorian councils and as well as the private sector. He was appointed CEO in 2016 and is the Council’s longest serving executive member.
“I have been very proud to lead this organisation over the past four and a half years – and I have been no prouder than I am right now as I see first-hand the resilience, dedication and sheer hard work being shown by everyone in the organisation as we guide our staff and community through this current unprecedented pandemic crisis.”
Mr Lancaster will conclude his employment in November 2020. Council will advertise the CEO position in the near future.
