Support and connection for young people

The COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent restrictions have been tough for everyone – and our young people are no exception.

If you’re aged 12-25 and connected to Moonee Valley, our Valley Youth crew have a range of programs and services to help get you through:

  • Yspace – a free online hangout where you can stay social, connected and supported with your friends. It’s on Thursdays, 5-6pm via Zoom. Join in here.
  • One-on-one support – we offer free and confidential sessions where we can work with you to set goals and provide support with things such as education support, housing, looking for work, financial stress, mental health and wellbeing, and family and peer relationships.
  • Wellbeing packs – we can send packages to young people in need of some positivity and wellbeing support, particularly those who may be struggling financially. Packs include items such as a yoga mat, mindfulness colouring book, journal, pencils, fitness dice, Jenga and mental health and wellbeing resources. You can nominate a young person in need to receive a pack here.

We also offer other free programs such as FReeZA, Grassroots Group, Rainbow Valley and Young People’s Committee.
