You’re one of the lucky ones.  You and your family are healthy, you still have a job, you can even work from home.

In the news you see stories of the front line workers – the nurses and doctors and paramedics, the police officers going to work each day to keep our community safe. You read about those who’ve lost their jobs, who are doing it tough and you want to help.

Some of our local Moonee Valley businesses have come up with a small gesture that could go a long way in brightening up someone’s day.

And it involves coffee.

At Roasting Warehouse in Airport West for $3 you can pay it forward and shout an emergency service or health care worker a coffee.

At Dan Dans Cafe in Moonee Ponds Central, customers are paying it forward, buying a coffee for a stranger doing it tough.

While New York Minute in Moonee Ponds is giving away free burgers to health care workers.

Over at Moonee Ponds Central, The Coffee Club are giving away free coffee for front line workers.

If you know another small business paying it forward to help others out, let us know!

Post about it on Instagram using the hashtag #rallymooneevalley or email DigitalTeam@mvcc.vic.gov.au
