Annual Community Satisfaction Survey highlights strong results for Council services
Moonee Valley residents have given Council high scores for many of the services they rely on every day, with the latest Community Satisfaction Survey showing overall performance continues to exceed the Victorian state average.
Council’s overall performance was rated 68/100, consistent with last year’s result and well above the Victorian state average of 58.
One of the standout results was customer service, which received a score of 72, exceeding both the state and metropolitan council benchmarks.
Residents also gave particularly strong ratings to several everyday services, with the highest-performing areas including:
- Local library services (90)
- Weekly garbage collection (89)
- Transfer station (87)
- Fortnightly recycling collection (87)
While the results highlight many strengths, the survey also identified areas where the community would like to see improvement. Lower-rated areas included:
- Value for rates (58)
- Town planning policies (60)
- Parking enforcement (62)
- Public toilets (63)
- Council’s monthly newsletter (64)
Council welcomes this feedback and sees it as an important opportunity to improve.
The findings will help inform future planning, priorities and decision-making as Council continues working to meet the needs of our growing and diverse community.
Most importantly, the results are a reminder that the work Council does everyday matters. Residents notice when services are delivered well, facilities are maintained, programs make a positive difference and staff go the extra mile.
Council is appreciative of everyone who took the time to share their experiences and provide honest feedback. Community input helps us understand what’s working well, where we need to improve and how we can continue delivering the services and facilities that matter most to our residents.
The annual Community Satisfaction Survey is just one of the many ways residents can have their say. Throughout the year, Council also invites the community to provide feedback on a range of projects and initiatives through its Your Say engagement platform.
Residents are encouraged to visit the Your Say webpage regularly to learn about current consultations and help shape the future of Moonee Valley.
