Accessibility information

  • Getting there: The Civic Centre is within 100 metres of tram lines 59 and 82 as well as the Moonee Ponds Bus Interchange, which services a number of routes. Moonee Ponds Train Station is a 700 metre flat walk away. There is limited free parking available nearby, but they may fill up fast. Paid parking is available at Moonee Ponds Central. There are accessible parking bays in off-street area on Kellaway Ave, immediately behind Council Building via Pascoe Vale Road and one parallel park on Pascoe Vale Road.
  • The Council Chambers are accessible by lift or stairs. An accessible toilet is available on site on the ground floor.
  • A hearing assistance system has recently been installed in the Council Chambers. The new system allows users to hear amplified sound from the microphones in the room, via a headset. This system supports those with a hearing impairment to participate in Council meetings and other events held in the Council Chambers.
  • For attending Council Meetings outside business hours, please use entrance on Pascoe Vale Road.
