Follow our accounts to keep up to date on the latest news, events, programs, consultations and service updates, to ask general enquiries and provide feedback, or just to catch a glimpse of our stunning city.

  • invite feedback and community participation

How we moderate our social media

Our social media pages are public spaces. We welcome discussion and different views, but we expect conversations to remain respectful and relevant.

Please do:

  • share your ideas, feedback and questions
  • be respectful to others
  • stay on topic
  • read the post before commenting.

Please don’t:

  • post personal information about others (including names of Council staff)
  • make defamatory comments about individuals or organisations (these are comments that harm the reputation of a person or organisation)
  • post content that is hateful, discriminatory or offensive, including content that is intolerant of a person’s race, culture, appearance, gender,
  • sexual orientation, religion or age
  • post political material, advertising or spam
  • link to illegal or inappropriate content
  • insult, threaten or attack others
  • post irrelevant or repetitive comments.

Content removal and bans

We may hide or remove comments that don’t follow these guidelines. We may also block users who:

  • repeatedly breach the guidelines
  • use offensive profile names or images
  • engage in abusive or disruptive behaviour.

Privacy and personal information

Anything you post on our social media pages is publicly visible.

To protect your privacy:

  • do not share personal information such as addresses, phone numbers or email addresses
  • do not share personal details about other people.

Comments containing personal information may be removed.
