Neighbourhood Spirit Awards
Neighbourhood Spirit Awards 2022 - Nominations now open
Do you know someone who makes your neighbourhood a better place? Then tell us about them!
The Moonee Valley Neighbourhood Spirit Awards celebrate those people who have contributed to their local community across Moonee Valley’s neighbourhoods.
We want to recognise people across the City who are making a difference to others living in the Moonee Valley community – big or small.
You can nominate an individual or community group as long as they:
- Live, work, study or play in Moonee Valley
- Are not a direct relation to a Councillor
- Are not a Moonee Valley City Council staff member or current/former Councillor
Nominations close Friday, 26 November.
The Moonee Valley Neighbourhood Spirit Award winners will be announced in March 2022.

Moonee Valley Neighbourhood Spirit Awards Celebration 2021
Coinciding with National Neighbour Day, the Moonee Valley Neighbourhood Spirit Awards celebrate the people who make Moonee Valley’s neighbourhoods a better place to live, work and play.
On Sunday, 28 March we celebrated the Moonee Valley Neighbourhood Awards at the Clocktower Centre.
We’re thrilled to announce our Citizen of the Year Award winner as Lisa Lowcock. Last year, Lisa donated her time and worked around the clock making masks during the peak of the Melbourne lockdown, donating over $4000 in proceeds to the Keilor chapter of Days for Girls which helps women and girls get access to quality menstrual supplies.
