Jazz festival comes to Moonee Valley!
The Melbourne International Jazz Festival returns this October, with some fantastic local events popping up in Moonee Valley.
Spring into Crown Street Stables for live jazz performances, sonic strolls, and picnic afternoons, or head along to Valley Lake for a “listening walk” that captures the rich sounds of the landscape.
The festival runs from 16-25 October, with more than 150 performances across 30 venues. From world-class concert halls and intimate club shows to free outdoor events and late-night dance floors, there’s something for everyone.
Moonee Valley City Council will host two key events during the festival that capture the serene nature of our environment, with neighbourhood melodies and the unique rhythms of Moonee Valley both uncovered and enriched across one weekend. Crown Street Stables will come alive with an afternoon of music in the park on Saturday 24 October, with smooth guitar and lively quartets, while Valley Lake invites you to slow down and listen deeply across Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 October.
These events are free, but registrations required via the Melbourne International Jazz Festival website.
