Local pools earn top marks for swim safety

As swimmers old and young prepare to return to the pool during the warmer months, they can dive in with confidence at our Moonee Valley City Council facilities.

During recent safety testing, two MVCC swimming pools have received near-perfect marks.

Both Ascot Vale Leisure Centre and Keilor East Leisure Centre recorded industry-leading safety scores following 2025/26 Pool Safety Assessments.

These scores are exceptionally high and are reflective of the high standards at these facilities.

Ascot Vale Leisure Centre and Keilor East Leisure Centre are accredited through Life Saving Victoria’s Platinum Pools Program.

Queens Park Swimming Pool has received a Gold safety endorsement through the same program for meeting safety and compliance criteria.

The Pool Safety Assessment and Aquatic Facility Safety Assessment program benchmarks venues against state and national standards, ensuring world-class safety for every visitor.
