Mayoral Update

Councillor Dr Rose Iser has resigned from her position as Mayor, effective 2 October 2026.
Cr Iser will continue to serve the Moonee Valley community in her elected role as Councillor.
Deputy Mayor Phil Burn will perform the role of Mayor in accordance with section 21 of the Local Government Act 2020 until the next Mayoral Election, which is scheduled for 29 October.
Council remains focused on delivering services and outcomes for the community and will provide further updates as required.
