Providing safe, accessible and inclusive public toilets is critical to supporting community participation in the City of Moonee Valley. Public toilets are in demand and requests for additional toilets are increasing. Having access to toilet facilities can have a significant influence on an individuals’ ability to participate in their local community.
As part of the implementation of the Public Toilet Strategy, Council are planning for the upgrade of the existing toilets located at Canning Street x Military Road (Avondale Heights).
The new public toilet will be installed in the same location as the pre-existing toilet, with the entry reoriented to face Military Road for improved safety.
The upgrade will also include new landscaping and greenery around the facility, as well as a new kerb ramp to enable access from the car park to the existing footpath where you can enter the toilet.
