Billy Cart is unstuck in time. The Naarm five-piece tunnel through decades of underground music and emerge with something both familiar and entirely their own. Their sound carries the urgency of DIY punk, the jagged edges of post-punk, and the loose, instinctual energy of a band that refuses to overthink itself. Billy Raffin, Dale Mamo, Gianni Daniele Castro, Jamie Kemp, and Xanthea O’Connor write songs like overheard conversations from parallel universes—disjointed yet intentional, full of dry humor and restless momentum. Their music isn’t clean, nor is it meant to be. It’s a collage of frayed melodies and intersecting ideas, stitched together with raw nerve and instinct.

Local the Neighbour is the creative project of David Quested. After moving to Melbourne to study jazz at the Victorian College of the Arts, he became obsessed with the form of expression found in the art form. From there David went on to study at the University of California Los Angeles, learning from jazz giants such as Jeff ‘Tain’ Watts and John Riley. Since then he has gone on to perform with ARIA winning jazz musicians, and tour internationally. After an early quarter life crisis, David made a ‘jexit’ (jazz exit), realising he wanted to return back to his roots of playing rock music like his favourite childhood bands. From there he began playing with likeminded artists, and going on to join the indie-rock band Garage Sale as their drummer. Armed with these experiences and approaches, Local the Neighbour was born in order to explore the world of production and songwriting; the ultimate outlet for David to live out his artistic creative endeavours. With DIY at its core, the music is always self recorded with the help of close friends within his community.

Melbourne/Naarm singer-songwriter Sherry is proud to be defying Asian stereotypes in the music scene. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts to appease the cultural expectations of her Chinese parents, she boldly decided to pursue her passion for music with her debut single ‘Work on Yourself’. Heavily influenced by artists such as Rihanna, Beyoncé, Chris Brown, Bruno Mars, Adele, Craig David, Michael Jackson, Destiny’s Child, Boyz II Men and BTS, her sound is a blend of catchy Pop and R&B melodies coupled with relatable lyricism that showcases her smooth, deep tones and powerful vocals. After a four-year-long hiatus, Sherry marks her highly anticipated return with pop smash ‘Where U Been?’, followed by her latest single romantic ballad ‘Candlelight’ in 2025. A strong-willed and self-assured woman, Sherry will not let societal barriers stand in her way of achieving her musical aspirations.

Tartie is an exciting and passionate Australian artist with musical influences including Maggie Rogers and Missy Higgins. She has previously worked with Australian producer Neal Sutherland (Amy Shark, Sarah Blasko) most notably on her single ‘Winter’s Girl’, which was listed as a semi-finalist in the international songwriting competition Unsigned Only and was a semi-finalist for the Listen Up Music Songwriting Prize. Tartie’s song ‘Ablaze’, written about the Australian bushfires, continues to receive international radio play and was featured on Yale University’s Climate Connections website. Since 2021, Tartie has been busy releasing music with US radio-host-turned-songwriter Binnie Klein, as part of an indie music collaboration called ‘In These Trees and Tartie.’ Their album “The Quiver” was produced by David Baron (Noah Kahn, The Lumineers, Michael Marcagi) and was released in March 2024 to critical acclaim. “The Quiver” has been described as a “true tour de force, featuring emotionally raw songs that echo the introspective depth of Kate Bush” (Popdose) and the album is “full of vivid imagery, piercing melodies, shifting musical textures, and deep feelings” (New Haven Independent.) Tartie’s latest single “They’re Not You” is currently receiving international and local radio play.

Amaya Laucirica is an Australian singer/songwriter whose music combines the swirling contours of Cocteau Twins with the wistful melodies of The Go-Betweens. Since 2008, she has released four critically acclaimed albums including her 2008 debut Sugar Lights, Early Summer in 2010 (which was selected by Australia’s JJJ Radio as their “Album of the Week”), Sway in 2014, and Rituals in 2018 (featured as one of Rough Trade’s (UK) Albums of the month). Her last album was supported by a tour of the UK and Europe in 2018 including a performance at Primavera Sound (Spain).

BELLA CIAO plays music from the Italian Peninsula of the 40s, 50s & 60s. Styles range from tango and polka to waltz and jazz and tarantella. The playful, tragic, hopeful and loved are common threads throughout the classically Italian repertoire and Bella Ciao weaves them into a tapestry of music and songs.

Kimba & Ryan are an Australian jazz duo that specializes in playing rare and forgotten jazz songs in a heartfelt and unique way. Featuring swing, gypsy, ballads and originals, Kimba & Ryan take their audience on a journey of story, song, and musical interplay between the guitar and voice. Their four studio duo albums explore a wide range of guitar-voice styles that are reminiscent of the great guitar voice duos of Ella Fitzgerald and Joe Pass, Julie London and Barney Kessel, and Les Paul and Mary Ford. Annie & The Make Believe is an Australian-English artist known for her heartfelt and catchy songs that blend elements of folk, pop, and alt-country. Melbourne based harpist Emily Rosner is shattering preconceived notions of what her instrument is capable of. An accomplished singer, composer, and improvisor, she combines a deep knowledge of traditional classical and jazz music with an ear for avant-garde experimentation to create a truly unique musical experience. She enhances the natural beauty of the harp with innovative new technologies, allowing the centuries old instrument to create and blend with innovative sounds that would have been considered impossible a generation ago.

Dan Vogl is a high vibe, indie rock n’ roll artist, from Melbourne, Australia. 
At age 10, Dan picked up a broken acoustic guitar from the side of the road in a hard rubbish collection. He repaired it with duct tape and went on to teach himself how to play guitar, sing and write songs. In recent years, Dan has released a slew of singles including Bland Francisco, Let Down, Sky Falls Down, Guts and Courage, Lilo and Breathe You In, the latter receiving over 50,000 views and streams across all platforms. Dan has shown versatility in his live performances, supporting the likes of British India, Bob Evans, Pseudo Echo and performances at The Hills Are Alive Festival and the Hurstbridge Wattle Festival.

Katie Dey is 30 year old songwriter , producer and woman living in Naarm. Since 2015 she has released 6 solo albums, 2 collaborative albums with Toronto musician Devi McCallion (formerly of Black Dresses), and an EP called “the kraken” (the title track of which featured in Jacob Geller’s multi-millionly viewed YouTube video “Fear of Big Things Underwater”). She co-produced Georgia Maq of Camp Cope’s debut solo album ‘Pleaser’ in 2019 (featured as Triple J’s Album of the Week) and is currently in the process of producing jemi gale’s debut album. Katie has remixed popular international acts like Perfume Genius, Hand Habits, Tomberlin, Montaigne & David Byrne, and her own songs have been remixed by Danny L Harle, Baths, Lonelyspeck, and Laura Les of 100 gecs. Dey’s music has been written about glowingly in Pitchfork, Stereogum, NME et al.

Trasch Talkin 1866-1965

Trasch walks among the living to thrash once more at his wizened guitar. Drum machines call and crash their terrible intent on a distant, trash strewn beach.

Once a music graduate; twice an award winning combo collaborator; three times an escapee from a nuclear waste isle, he is less a virtuosic musician, more a virtuosic anti musician. The resultant din is both ancient and new: accessible sweet guitar twang sang through 13 dimensions of distortion.

He is back to feed. Who can say, if he may bemuse boomers and mystify millennials?

Cooper Lower is an artist, songwriter and record producer based in Melbourne, Australia. As a touring and recording folk artist, Cooper is a prominent voice in the emerging folk circuit. He has performed on international stages such as the Melbourne International Guitar Night, Queenscliff Music Festival, Tollwood Winterfestival (Munich, DE), Port Fairy Folk Festival, and Fretmonkey Records Guitarist Showcase (NY, USA) and has twice been a finalist for Folk Alliance’s Youth Artist of the Year. In the co-writing and production space, Lower boasts an extensive catalogue of writing and production credits with artists throughout UK, North America, Europe and Australia, including Flynn Gurry, Harry Marshall and Umbra Moon. His work in the film & TV space includes long-standing placements on Australian national TV and the soundtrack album for Agnieszka Porzezińska’s latest feature film, Misie (Netflix, 2025), written alongside renowned Polish film composer Kris Gorski.

Dave Bowers (songwriter, vocals, guitars), Dee Hannan (vocals, mandolin) and Alice Garner (cello) have been playing as a trio since 2014 but have a much longer history of collaboration across different bands and artforms.

They perform evocative, sometimes melancholic but always memorable songs, sparsely and imaginatively arranged and featuring sweet interweaving vocal harmonies.

Y STREET is a group based in Naarm (Melbourne, Australia) sharing a combined love for making a lot of noise. Y STREET’s high energy approach to music is crafted through the groups shared philosophy of giving everything in the moment and leaving nothing behind.

Kenyan Born singer Joys has roots stemming from Gospel singing as a child. Her career has seen her perform locally and Internationally for over 15 years and has her picked as a favourite in Soul and Blues genres. Joys has performed with many local bands including Women of Soul, Grand Wazoo as well as performing as part of the in-house band for various television shows such as Australia’s Got Talent and The Logies. Her entertaining style is always present at large events such as the Spring Carnival’s Bird Cage Marquees, Grand Prix, Wangarratta Jazz Festival and other large high end corporate National events, performing under her umbrella brand of Joys SoulMusic.
Her Aretha Franklin Project show and The Queens of Soul show are her current projects. The JoysSoul Live band will feature Sharon Davis on Keys, Holly Brick on Bass, Anastasia Comarin on Guitar and Emily Shaw on Drums. Joys will be singing songs from her current shows.

AYDAN, a 24 year-old singer-songwriter from Melbourne, Australia, has recently embraced his independence after five years with a major label. Known for his distinctive sound and energetic stage presence, AYDAN is set to make a significant impact this year, entering a multi-release period in the coming months with a highly anticipated headline show and an EP release on the horizon in 2025, AYDAN is ready to share his new music and truly expresses himself through his creative journey.

The VoidDecks is a makeshift ramshackle 3 piece garage rock project formed in 2024. The combo is a loose collective made up of flower punks from bands such as Slowjaxx & The Kozmik Brothers, Vault Hill, The Kreteks, Kelab Dingdong Sayang, Jawa Pitu Band, Moods, Force Vomit and Toko Kilat. Their music is influenced by 60’s and 70’s South East Asian acts like The Swallows, DuoKribo, Benyamin Sueb, Alias Congo and Black Dog Bone. Occasionally they dabble in space rock, and bastardised keronchong blues via Gesang Martohartono, Oslan Hussein, Spectrum and Spacemen 3. A void deck is also an open space found on the ground floor of HDB blocks of flats in Singapore. It is used for community or neighbourhood gang activities such as playing soccer, rounders, Chinese chess, breakdancing, gang brawls, trading cassettes, VHS tapes and impromptu jam sessions with like minded souls. Gabby Steel is a singer-songwriter with a talent for crafting soulful, memorable songs that blend folk, indie pop, blues, and soul.
