Featuring Ben Sorenson, Clare Bowditch, Shelby Lim, Gospel Sundays and more
Moonee Valley City Council is proud to announce the return of much-loved, live and local music festival, Valley Sounds. Back for another year, the 2026 program features a diverse line-up of artists performing across multiple venues over two huge weekends from Thursday 25 June to Sunday 5 July.
Valley Sounds will once again bring the community together through the power of live music, showcasing everything from indie folk and jazz to rhythm and blues. With performances happening right across Moonee Valley, the stage is set to heat up this winter.
The festival will officially launch at the Clocktower Centre on Thursday 25 June with a free opening night gig from 7pm. Hosted by local comedian and master of banter, Ben Sorensen, and in conversation with ARIA-award-winning Clare Bowditch, the night will feature DJ Greg Bracey alongside the vintage sounds of CJ Cummerford and the Supertones.
This year’s lineup includes an exciting mix of local talent such as Farren Jones, Rusty Brown, Shane Howard, Gospel Sundays, Shelby Lim, Simon Ross, Black Tie and Bare Strings, Emily Rosner, Demie Bagnato, and nu metal tribute band Break Stuff, with more artists to be announced.
From Thursday to Sunday throughout the festival period, audiences can experience live music at a range of venues including Deluxe Bar, Holmes Hall and Saros Bar and Dining, Edward Abbotts Wine Bar, Pin Oak Beer and Wine, Boxcar Barbers, Doutta Galla Hotel, and the Union Hotel.
Valley Sounds is committed to accessibility and affordability, with events offered free of charge or at low cost, ensuring more people can enjoy live music in their local area. Residents and visitors are encouraged to explore the full program, find events nearby and book directly with participating venues. Valley Sounds puts the municipality’s excellent venues in the spotlight, encouraging audiences to head to their favourite watering holes and immerse themselves in live music this winter.
