Celebrate National Recycling Week at Incinerator Gallery

Residents are invited to discover how small actions can make a big difference at Waste to Wow, a free community event celebrating National Recycling Week on Saturday, 14 November at the Incinerator Gallery.

Delivered in partnership with Green Collect, Cleanaway and Moonee Valley Sustainability, the event will connect community members with local sustainability programs, services and practical ideas to reduce waste and give materials a second life.

From upcycled crafts and textile recycling to story time sessions and interactive activities for children, there will be something for all ages to enjoy. Visitors can also learn more about local sustainability initiatives and explore simple ways to incorporate recycling, reuse and upcycling into their everyday lives.

As part of the day’s sustainability focus, attendees are encouraged to bring a reusable keep cup. Those who do, or who use one of the event’s shared mugs, will receive $2 off their coffee as a thank you for helping reduce single-use waste.

The event supports Council’s commitment to building a more circular and sustainable community by encouraging residents to rethink waste and make the most of the resources already around them.
