Whimsical Spring Festival: An enchanting celebration of creativity and community
Moonee Valley City Council is thrilled to announce a brand-new free event for all ages, the Whimsical Spring Festival – a celebration of creativity, community and all things whimsy. Presented in partnership with Valley Youth and Avenue Productions, the festival will take place at Woodlands Park in Essendon on Saturday, 14 November.
Whimsical Spring Festival is set to be a vibrant day of fun and vibrant enchanting experiences. Attendees are invited to don their most whimsical, colourful or nature-inspired outfit and enjoy the likes of artisan and maker markets, creative workshops, hands-on activities, live music, performances, delicious food and treats, and community activities and wellbeing spaces.
A key feature will be the Youth Creators Market, providing young people with the opportunity to showcase and sell their creative products, artwork and small business ventures to the wider community.
The festival is Moonee Valley City Council’s flagship youth-led event for 2026 and the major annual event delivered through the Victorian Government-funded Amplify Program. Developed and led by local young people, the event creates new opportunities for young people to showcase their talents, creativity and enterprise while bringing the broader community together to celebrate spring.
The event is free and open to all ages. Anyone planning to attend can register to receive updates and festival information. Registrations are encouraged but not required.
