All programs are fully supervised by Valley Youth staff, however staff are unable to prevent young people from leaving the activity and are not responsible for them once they leave the activity space.
All Valley Youth activities are strictly drug, alcohol, smoke and vape-free. These items are not permitted at any activity. Participants must not attend activities in an intoxicated state or under the influence of drugs or alcohol. If a young person arrives intoxicated or with prohibited items, they will be asked to leave the activity immediately. We will follow up with a conversation involving the young person and their parent/guardian to discuss their suitability for future participation.
As a participant in a Valley Youth activity, you are responsible for ensuring your behaviour does not make others feel unsafe or compromise the safety of the group. While Valley Youth will always do its best to manage challenging situations, serious misbehaviour may result in removal from the activity. In such cases, your parent/guardian will be notified, and arrangements will be made for you to be transported home at their expense.
Participants are expected to treat equipment respectfully and keep activity spaces clean and tidy.

What parents need to know about e-rideables, the law, and supporting safe choices Join Anglicare’s ParentZone, Victoria Police, the Transport Accident Commission
Event Details
Join Anglicare’s ParentZone, Victoria Police, the Transport Accident Commission and the Department of Transport and Planning for a short webinar on parenting young people with e-rideables.
E-rideables like e-scooters and e-bikes are growing in popularity. They’re a great way to travel and a sustainable way to get around our city.
However, it’s important that our young riders have the skills to ride responsibly and safely. From understanding significant risks to navigating peer pressure, parents and other caregivers can be a crucial source of support and information for young people around e-rideables.
The webinar is a great opportunity to hear from experts and to share your own insights about e-rideables, the law, and better understanding teen behaviour.
Register now to secure your spot!
Accessibility information: The webinar will be held on Microsoft Teams, which supports live captioning. The content will be varied with different presenters speaking and presenting visual material. There will be an opportunity for questions from the audience towards the end of the session.
