Remembrance Day

Remembrance Day is a time to honour those who have served our country and to pay our respects to fallen and returned soldiers.

Moonee Valley City Council, in conjunction with Essendon RSL Sub-branch, will hold a commemoration ceremony at the Cenotaph in Queens Park, Moonee Ponds, on Wednesday 11 November at 10.30am.

The ceremony will feature representatives from local battalions and squadrons, with music by the Moonee Valley Brass Band. A minute’s silence will be observed.

Residents are encouraged to attend and pay their respects and are invited to lay flowers or wreaths at the Cenotaph. Following the ceremony, refreshments will be available in Council Chambers at the Civic Centre on Kellaway Avenue, opposite Queens Park.
