Lincolnville Kindergarten Redevelopment
Lincolnville Kindergarten has been transformed from a single room service into a modern, three-room facility, creating a larger and brighter environment where children in our community can learn, play and grow together.
Made possible through a partnership between Moonee Valley City Council and the Victorian Government, the upgrade also includes new Maternal and Child Health consulting rooms, as well as a vibrant outdoor play space designed to inspire active, curious children.
Mayor of Moonee Valley, Cr Dr Rose Iser, noted that Montgomery Park Kindergarten was the first project of the Building Blocks partnership and is now pleased Lincolnville Kindergarten had opened its doors on Monday 20 April.
“We’re thrilled to welcome families to the newly upgraded Lincolnville Kindergarten, which is more spacious, contemporary and welcoming than ever,” Cr Iser said.
“This is a major infrastructure investment that demonstrates our commitment to delivering high-quality services that meet the needs of families and children across the municipality.
“It was important to act. Our population data and service availability predicted a shortage of kindergarten places in the Keilor East neighbourhood in the coming decade, and this project directly responds to that challenge
“A big thank you to all staff involved in the delivery of the project; the State Government including State Member for Niddrie Ben Carroll; and the parents and carers who shared valuable feedback as part of our consultation process.”
“Together, we are giving every child the best possible start.”
Enrolments are now open at Lincolnville Kindergarten and all other Council-run kindergartens. Best of all, kindergarten is free for children aged three and up.
