Exciting things are happening for the Moonee Ponds Creek!
Melbourne Water is now engaging with the community about a section of the Moonee Ponds Creek in Strathmore. The project is investigating whether a section of the Creek, from Brosnan Crescent to Pascoe Vale Road, can be transformed into a more natural looking form.
The exciting project is a centrepiece of the Chain of Ponds Collaboration Group, made up of 15 community and government organisations committed to transforming the creek into an iconic Melbourne waterway. Melbourne Water is leading the project on behalf of the Collaboration Group with the help of the Victorian Government, contributing $5 million, and partners including Moonee Valley City Council.
The project aims to achieve lasting social, environmental and community outcomes that will provide inspiration for future sections of the creek to be transformed.
Keep your eyes peeled on our website and socials for updates!
