Update: fight to save trees at Newmarket Station

We know it’s been a while since we updated you on the trees at Newmarket Station, as you’d understand it’s been a busy time for governments of all levels.
We’re also aware there’s been some community concern about workers at the station today.
Metro has again assured us the community will be advised before any tree removal takes place.
The activity today involved works in and around the retaining wall to support the wall and the heritage-listed river red gum.
We hope to have further updates on the trees soon.
