Applications Open for 2026 Community Grants and Workshops

Did you know that Moonee Valley City Council offers a range of community grants?

Our program is designed to help people, community groups, and businesses make Moonee Valley a better place to live, work and play.

Biannual Grants are now open for applications until Sunday, 1 March 2026.

Grants are available in these streams:

  • First Peoples: Supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People and organisations to deliver local projects.
  • Social Support: Operational funding for small social support groups run by volunteers.
  • Community Projects: One-off community projects, pilot programs and small capital works.
  • Climate Action: Renewable energy transitions and community projects promoting climate resilience.
  • Arts & Events: Arts projects and events or festivals that benefit the Moonee Valley community.
  • Business Projects: Small storefront and outdoor space beautification and inclusion or collaboration projects.

Not sure where to start? Our Community Grants Team will be running free Grant Writing Workshops online and in-person throughout the open period.

  • Online Wednesday, 11 February 2026 – 6pm to 8pm
  • In-person Wednesday, 18 February 2026 – 10am to 12pm
  • Online Monday, 23 February 2026 – 1pm to 3pm
