Moonee Valley City Council is shocked and deeply saddened by the horrific loss of lives at Bondi during a community celebration of Chanukah.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to all impacted, including Moonee Valley’s Jewish community.
There is no place in our community for violence or hate.
Everyone deserves to feel safe to practice their culture and faith. It is up to all of us to make our city a place of peace, respect and love.
Flags across Australia are to be flown at half-mast to honour the victims of the tragic events at Bondi Beach, Sydney, on 14 December 2025.
