A New Playground at AJ Davis Reserve
Swing by and let the good times slide! Our new playground at AJ Davis in Airport West is officially open!
We are extremely excited to reveal the opening of our new playground at AJ Davis Reserve, located on the embankment north of the pavilion, next to the oval. The new playground offers diverse and nature-based play opportunities for a range of different ages and abilities.
We are so thrilled for the community to begin utilising this space and can’t wait to see your smiling faces.
The new playspace includes a variety of nature play features and play equipment to provide an interesting and engaging play experience, which includes:
- A combination of long feature slides and junior slides
- Scrambling nets/rope courses
- Balancing logs and timber steppers
- A dry creek bed and feature rockwork
- A shelter with picnic tables
- Seating throughout
- New native trees and garden beds
- New paths, designed to be accessible for all and rubber surfacing for access to key play elements
A new pathway is also planned to be installed between the carpark, the playground and the shared trail, which is scheduled to be installed in the next 12 months. Keep an eye on our socials and website for more information for updates!
