Applications open for Moonee Valley Biannual Community Grants

Seeking Council support to make your passion project a reality? Moonee Valley City Council’s Biannual Community Grants Program offers funding of up to $10,000 to local individuals and groups helping make the municipality an even better place to live, work and play.
Biannual Community Grants are available for projects across several streams, including: Community Projects; Climate Action; Arts and Events; Business Projects; First Peoples and Social Support Grants.
Successful applicants from the previous biannual grants round include:
- The Men’s Table, to establish a peer support group in Moonee Valley, providing men with a safe space to connect and discuss mental health
- The residents of Mason Square in Moonee Ponds, who will roll out an education program that encourages neighbours to avoid, reduce and properly manage their household waste
- The Essendon Historical Society, to digitise editions of the Essendon Gazette from as far back as 1919
Applications for this round close 2 March 2025.
Grants writing workshops
Applicants who wish to develop skills in grant writing and budget preparation are encouraged to attend a free Council-run workshop. Upcoming workshops are scheduled on:
- Wednesday, 12 February, 6pm-8pm – online
- Wednesday, 19 February, 10am-12pm – in person
- Monday, 24 February, 1pm-3pm – online
