Join our Basic Home Maintenance Course to gain the confidence to independently complete maintenance jobs around the home, whilst making friends along the way! 🔨
Moonee Valley City Council has partnered with I’m Still Learning to deliver an 8 week Basic Home Maintenance 101 Course. This course will help participants gain confidence and knowledge to complete in home basic maintenance.
Workshop Details:
- When: Thursday, 14 September – Thursday, 2 November 2023 (8 week course)
- Time: 6.30pm – 8.30pm
- Where: Aberfeldie Men’s Shed (5 Rutherford Street Aberfeldie)
- Cost: Full price, $220, or $68 for My Aged Care and HACC PYP eligible participants
What’s included?
- 8 x 2 hour weekly hands-on practical sessions

What topics will be covered during the course?
- Introduction and safety in the home
- How to fix a leaking tap
- How to use a battery operated drill safely
- Use a battery operated drill to construct a take home toolbox
- How to replace a broken tile
- How to repair a hole in the wall
- Preparation and painting
