Be a part of our Community Recovery Committee!

We’re seeking expressions of interest for members of our community to be part of our Community Recovery Committee.
Council has received funding from Emergency Recovery Victoria to deliver activities to support community recovery from the 2022 flood event focused on resilience building, community connection and promoting preparedness.
The Community Recovery Committee will enable collaboration between community and Council in the planning and delivery of recovery activities and programs to ensure they meet the needs of affected community. For the purpose of helping us deliver more helpful recovery programs in the future, we encourage you to get involved.
Did the October 2022 floods impact you? If so, we want to hear from you. We are seeking the following groups for the committee:
- Up to 5 affected residents from Rivervue
- Up to 5 affected residents outside of Rivervue
- Up to 3 affected business owners
- Up to 3 representatives from affected sporting clubs
- Up to 3 representatives from the broader community (not flood affected)
If you are passionate about your community and would like to be involved in designing recovery activities in line with community needs, this opportunity is for you.
Members will be meeting once a month. Additionally, special considerations will be considered to enable meetings to be accessible.
Ultimately, your voice will help prepare Moonee Valley in the event of further flood emergencies.
