Platinum selling, multi-ARIA Award-winning artist Budjerah will headline a blistering line-up of Australian acts at this year’s Moonee Valley Festival.

After a triumphant return to the festival circuit in 2024, Moonee Valley Festival will once again transform Queens Park into a bustling live music hub on Saturday 22 February, 2025.

Budjerah brings with him some serious musical cred, having performed alongside icons Ed Sheeran, Kylie Minogue and Tina Arena on his way two ARIA Awards and a sell-out show at the world-famous Sydney Opera House.

He will be joined on stage by master of ceremonies, RocKwiz anchor Brian Nankervis, and a sizzling selection of artists, including: Australian Idol grand finalist IVANA, disco-meets-doo-wop seven-piece Sugar Fed Leopards (described as “Saturday Night Fever meets Kath & Kim on acid”) and local hip-hop performer Amutha.

Also lighting up the bill are: Indonesian dangdut group Yarra Irama; brass collective Hot Potato Band; indie pop outfit Wasteman; and Mediterranean music ensemble Sanacori.

The free, all-ages event will also feature Community and Kids Stages, and activities such as experimental musical installation The Plants and Guru Dudu Silent Disco tours. The park will be filled with an array of market stalls and food vendors, meaning there’s something for every reveller to enjoy.

Moonee Valley Festival is the perfect opener to festival season across the municipality, with Mediterranean Fiesta (Sunday 23 March at Centreway, Keilor East) and Twilight Concert (Saturday 29 March at Lincoln Park, Essendon) again set to entertain crowds this year.

Mayor Cr Ava Adams said the Festival was a key component of the council’s arts and culture strategy, Igniting Creativity in Moonee Valley 23-27.

“Moonee Valley Festival is a not-to-be-missed highlight on the cultural calendar, and a great way to bring together our community this summer,” Mayor Cr Ava Adams said.

“Live music is a vital part of our cultural landscape here in Moonee Valley, and this event is further proof we are a thriving hub for entertainment and the Arts.”
