Bunjil’s Marroun Healing Ceremony 2025

Moonee Valley’s annual Healing Ceremony returns to Queens Park sound stage on Sunday, 26 January 2025.

The ceremony will commence at 5pm with an Acknowledgement of History delivered by a Wurundjeri representative, followed by guest speaker Nicky Winmar in conversation with Uncle Charles Pakana, and a performance by David Arden and band.

We acknowledge that this day can cause pain to members of our community. This event is an opportunity to acknowledge past injustices to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and learn about what the day means to them.

Moonee Valley City Council is committed to strengthening our partnership with Wurundjeri and working towards Treaty.
