Celebrating Eid al-Adha in Moonee Valley

A group of people stand in a line in front of a green building, the words ' Djerring Flemington Hub' are seen on the building, written in white text.

Eid al-Adha, sometimes known as Eid II or Greater Eid, marks the culmination of the Hajj (pilgrimage) rites at Mecca and is celebrated by Muslims throughout the world. It is a time for prayer, visiting with friends and family, exchanging gifts, and eating together.

To celebrate this significant day, we’ll be hosting a free event for our community on Saturday 7 June

The day will feature kids’ and youth activities such as face painting, arts and craft, sport, Hajj storytime and henna.

Food and coffee from an array of cultures will be served, there will also be a halal sausage sizzle.

Date: Saturday 7 June

Time: 12pm – 4 pm
Location: Djerring Flemington Hub (Flemington Community Centre)

Registrations are not required, however, please feel free to do so via Eventbrite for event reminders and updates.
