Celebrating Seniors Festival in Moonee Valley

Pull on your dancing shoes, and strap in for a great time at Seniors Festival 2023.
Victorian Seniors Festival 2023 is a month long celebration of events and activities across Victoria designed to bring seniors together to enjoy themselves, learn new skills and make new friends. Registrations are not required, just come along and join in the festivities!
So, what’s happening?
Our Seniors Festival will provide a FREE, fun and interactive day of activities for seniors who live, work, visit or play in Moonee Valley:
- guest speaker AFL Essendon legend Kevin Sheedy
- Voices of Moonee Valley choir with Jonathon Welch AM
- line dancing
- basic home maintenance workshops
- art workshops, with the artwork completed on the day being installed after the event at Ascot Vale Neighbourhood Centre
- a photo booth, for happy snaps
- Chinese Arts Association of Melbourne dancers
- massage therapists
- raffle prizes (main prize will be a $300 Hyatt voucher!)
- light refreshments to share.
The following local social support groups will be in attendance:
- Essendon Probus
- MV Life Activities Club and
- U3A – exhibiting their art work with a mini art show.
The following organisations will also be on hand to share their expertise:
- Australian Hearing (providing hearing checks)
- Victorian Police
- Diabetes Victoria
- Merri Health/Carer Gateway
- BreastScreen Victoria

Venue accessibility and getting there
Keen to come along? We’ve mapped out options on how you can easily arrive to the Clocktower Center.
Tram:
- Route 59 and 82 tram stop at Moonee Ponds junction
Bus:
- Buses 404, 472,504,505,506,508,476,469,477,483
Car:
- Parking available in the Moonee Ponds Central or Kmart carpark. This is directly opposite the venue. This parking offers the first 2 hours free, and then there is a fee after this timeframe.
- 14-16 Hall St, Moonee Ponds – Access is via Mt Alexander Road
There is a lift available at the venue for those who have mobility issues.
