New Changing Places facilities Ascot Vale and Keilor East Leisure Centres

Did you know that Ascot Vale and Keilor East Leisure Centres each have a Changing Places toilet facility for people with disability?

We have built a Changing Places facility at Ascot Vale and Keilor East Leisure Centres, so people with severe and profound disabilities and their carers can access fit-for-purpose toilet facilities. Funding for Ascot Vale’s Changing Places was provided by the Victorian Government.

The Survey of Disability, Ageing and Carers (2018) tells us there are 6,437 people living in Moonee Valley with profound or severe disability.

We believe a fair city is one where all people have equal access to the places they love. This includes accessing hygienic and comfortable public toilet facilities.

At Ascot Vale Leisure Centre, the Changing Places facility is located in the hallway past Reception and is situated to the right. The centre has access ramps and 11 designated accessible parking bays.

At Keilor East Leisure Centre, the Changing Places facility can be accessed inside the aquatic area of the centre. Just ask staff at the front desk and they’ll let you in. The centre has 8 designated accessible parking bays.

If you’re unsure where to find your Changing Places facility at Ascot Vale or Keilor East Leisure Centres, please speak to one of the friendly Guest Experience Officers at Reception.

Now you can have peace of mind knowing there’s an accessible facility nearby, regardless of whether or not you’re visiting the centre.
